Candidate Rights

Last updated: March 2026

As a candidate using Talent Atrium, you have specific rights in relation to your personal data and to the AI-assisted evaluation process. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them.

Right to access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. This includes your profile data, behavioural assessment results, and any evaluation reports generated in connection with your applications. We will respond to access requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Right to correction

If you believe that any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that it be corrected. You can update your profile and assessment data directly from your candidate portal. For data you cannot edit yourself, contact us and we will process the correction.

Right to deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. You can close your account and delete your data at any time from your candidate portal. Once requested, deletion is processed within 48 hours. Application data linked to specific vacancies is automatically deleted after a vacancy closes regardless of any individual request. Note: audit and system logs required for legal compliance are retained for up to four years as set out in the Data Retention Policy; these logs do not contain your CV or evaluation reports.

Right to withdraw consent

Where processing is based on your consent, including the use of your behavioural assessment data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the withdrawal. You can manage consent settings from your candidate portal.

Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, including where processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. Contact us to exercise this right and we will assess your objection within the legally required timeframe.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You also have the right to request that we transmit that data to another controller where technically feasible. Contact us to make a portability request.

Right to explanation of automated evaluation

Talent Atrium uses AI-assisted evaluation to generate compatibility scores and written reports. You have the right to request a meaningful explanation of how your evaluation was produced, what categories of data were used, and how the criteria applied to your profile. We will provide a written response within two business days. See our AI Transparency Statement for a full description of the evaluation process.

Right to contest and request human review

AI-generated scores and reports are not final decisions. All shortlisting and hiring decisions are made by a human recruiter. If you believe an AI-generated evaluation contains a significant error that affected your application, you have the right to contest it. Contact us, describe the concern, and we will: review the evaluation output against the data used to produce it; provide a written explanation of the result within five business days; and notify the relevant recruiter if we identify an error that materially affected the outcome. This right applies regardless of whether the vacancy is still open.

Right to reasonable accommodation

If you have a disability or condition that affects your ability to complete the behavioural assessment or that you believe may affect how your evaluation is interpreted, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation. Contact us before completing the assessment or at any point during an application to discuss what adjustments may be available. We will respond within two business days.

How to exercise your rights

Many rights can be exercised directly from your candidate portal, including updating your profile, managing consent, and deleting your account. For rights that require manual processing, contact us via the Contact page.

We aim to acknowledge all rights requests within 48 hours and to complete processing within the timeframes required by applicable data protection law. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.
